Who we are...
Lividus is the brainchild of songwriter/producer Matt Beesley who saw the Covid Lockdown as an opportunity to bring together talent from around the world to write, record and produce the best in Heavy Psych, Alt Rock and Modern Prog Rock music.
Creating a Virtual Studio environment utilising tools such as Airgigs, Soundcloud and Bandcamp allows Lividus to identify and collaborate with talent regardless of their geographic location or circumstance.
Inspired by bands such as Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull and Led Zeppelin, my music has old school foundations but with the modern production values of bands like Tool, King Buffalo and Green Day.

Bringing back the Concept Album
I still remember when I first heard Pink Floyd The Wall. I was 13 or 14 years old at the time. I had never heard an album tell a story the way this did. I felt so connected to the music and related deeply to the lyrics. It still inspires me today!
As I got older I realised all my favourite albums tell a story. I like my lyrics to have deep meaning. I like songs that explore important issues. All my favourite songwriters are magicians at matching deep complex stories to powerful emotional music. This is something I hope one day to emulate
Music has changed. Songs are listened to in isolation. I want to get people listening to albums again. I want to hear important stories being told though music. I write many of my songs with this in mind, connecting them all to one another through a single narrative so that one day they can be brought together in a singular vision. This is my dream!

While to date Live Performance has been a challenge, the artists that have collaborated with Lividus are all experienced live performers and have expressed a keen interest in performing together as a group.
So, sometime in the future, who knows...
